Big City Golf Scene
While the big city lights of Chicago are alluring, golfers know the diverse links here are the key to happiness. Public courses abound, including Jackson Park Golf Course, Indian Boundary Golf Course and two courses at Harborside International Golf Center. Don’t forget to take in the attractions and skyline of downtown Chicago.

Golf In The Land Of Lincoln
Away from the big city, the Prairie State still shines for golfers in the Land of Lincoln. Peppered with 9-hole courses at every stop, this area boasts Lake of the Woods Golf Course in Mahomet and Pontiac Elks Country Club and Wolf Creek Golf Club in Pontiac. There are three 9-hole courses at Oak Brook Golf Club in Edwardsville and then the Belk Park Golf Course in Wood River.
Prairie Vista Golf Course and The Den at Fox Creek are highlights in Bloomington. Red Tail Run Golf Club in Decatur adds a nice touch over 18 holes.
Jacksonville heralds the Links at Jacksonville. Springfield boasts The Rail Golf Club and the aptly named Lincoln Greens Golf Course.
River Country Golf Links
Snaking its way through the river country is a trail of scenic golf courses. Peoria lays claim to Newman Golf Course, Madison Park Golf Course, Leo Donovan Golf Course and two courses of Howard D. Kellogg Golf Course.
A few out-of-the-way courses include the Nicklaus design at Fyre Lake Golf Club in Sherrard and Pinnacle Country Club in Milan. TPC Deere Run in Silvis is a must stop on this leg of your links trip.
Highlights of Rock Island are Highland Springs Golf Course and Arsenal Island Golf Course where you’ll feel like the Mississippi River is on top of you. The Westview Golf Course in Quincy, Oak Run Golf Course in Dahinda and Bunker Links Golf Course in Galesburg round out a run near the rivers.
